We need your help to get this project off the ground (or in the ground!).
Share your details to sign up for tree planting today.

We recently received a $160,000 grant from NSW Government through its Environmental Trust in association with Local Government NSW. This grant is to assist with the planting of 30,000 trees which will increase Flying-fox rehabilitation.

Flying-foxes are a threatened species in New South Wales, but they play an important role in maintaining the ecological system in our area as they pollinate across the landscape.

Interested in planting trees on your property? Guidance is now available about restoring foraging habitat for long-distance pollinators (one of which is our very own Flying-foxes!) from the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE).

The guide recommends which trees to plant in each region. These trees will eventually address gaps in native food availability by providing lots of nectar supplies in winter and spring. We will be following the suggestions in this guide when we choose which trees to plant in the specific locations.
